While writing here on the blog has been nonexistent in the last several months, I’m incredibly grateful to be back writing again. Last month I wrote a piece for Iridescent Women and I’m so happy to share it here as well.

Creative writing was one of my first outlets I can remember. I would spend hours writing stories or reimagining events that had happened but when I got older my confidence was shaken and writing wasn’t the same. In fact, I let the comments of others get in my way for so long that I started to believe them. When Iridescent Women reached out about writing a piece for them I was so grateful that I had finally let go of the shame monsters enough to believe in myself to start this blog and let my love writing and communication be seen.
